About two weeks back the decision was taken that it was time for Jakub Lewicki to leave the team. He was simple getting too old and the team manager was getting frustrated about all those "too early maxed top talents". The team needed big money to hire a new captain. Jakub was one of the first big talents the team scouted on the transfer market where he was dropped by his former polish team. He was feeling so nicely in his new team that he decided to max at an average of 51 meaning that he almost reached full potential, including 206 sprinting points.
Although the amount of sprint points was not that impressive Lewicki was able to score an amazing amount of points for the team. Lewicki led the team to div 2 and at some periods in time even to div 1. Meanwhile Lewicki was for most his career the Polish champion wearing the ugly Polish yersey, but he was happy with it.
In his total carreer Lewicki scored:
16 wins including Lappi Sea GP classic and a win in the CoN for Poland.
15 second spots
13 third spots including 4 third spots for the polish national team.
52 4-9 positions
This means that from the total amount of top 9 positions (92 results), he ended almost half of his races (45.8%) on the podium. This is an amazing score to the team manager's opinion. The best season of Lewicki was certainly season 20 where he ended 10th in the overall rider classification. Not bad for a rider having only 206 sprinting points!
Now it was time for Lewicki to leave and we wish him all the best at team EricV. In Lewicki's final season for team tdb he still scored 2 wins in div 2 and he left the team having 910 points.
With the money coming from the sell of Lewicki a new champion, Cesar Zelda was contracted. The management is looking forward to see Zelda racing for the team. With a whopping 221 sprinting points he should be able to compete in div 1 as well.
Meanwhile the team is looking for some lead outs to improve the sprinting train. So Zelda can pick up where Lewicki ended with: winning!

Hail to a great rider. I remember batteling lewicki and yannick eissen with Martin østrup. The best scoring sprinters in zyte at that time.
Lets see if Lewicki still performs in div3.
Good luck with Zelda!
